Annie Finch is author of four books of poetry: Calendars (Tupelo, 2003); Eve (Story Line, 1997); The Encyclopedia of Scotland (Salt, 2004); and a translation of the complete poems of Renaissance poet Louise Labé (Chicago, 2006). Her music, art and theater collaborations include the opera "Marina," based on the life of poet Marina Tsvetaeva (American Opera Projects, New York). Annie has also published six books of poetics, most recently the influential anthology An Exaltation of Forms and the essay collection The Body of Poetry: Essays on Women, Form, and the Poetic Self (2005). She lives in Maine where she is Professor of English and Director of the Stonecoast Low-Residency MFA Program in Creative Writing at the University of Southern Maine.
