Poetry in the Cut: Harvests of Loss and Consolation in the Poetry of Jane Kenyon

Dr Rose Lucas teaches and researches in the School of English, Communications and Performance Studies, Monash University, Melbourne Australia. She is the co-author of Bridgings: Readings in Australian Women's Poetry, and numerous scholarly articles in the areas of women's poetry, literature and psychoanalysis and cinema studies. Her current research project is entitled Falling into Light: Jane Kenyon, Mary Oliver, Gwen Harwood and a Poetics of Mourning. She is also a poet with poems published in Heat, Australian Book Review, Meanjin, Aroostook Review, and Best Australian Poems 2007.
