James Cihlar’s first book of poems, Undoing, is available from Little Pear Press. His poems have appeared in Bloom, The James White Review, Painted Bride Quarterly, Prairie Schooner, Quercus, and in the anthologies Regrets Only (Little Pear Press), Aunties (Ballantine), and Nebraska Presence (Backwaters Press). He has received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Minnesota State Arts Board, a Glenna Luschei Award from Prairie Schooner, and a collegiate award from the Academy of American Poets. He attended the University of Iowa where he studied in the Writers’ Workshop, and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. He lives with his partner in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
