Evan Jones was born in Toronto and now lives in Britain. He has a PhD in English and Creative Writing from the University of Manchester and has taught at York University in Toronto, and in Britain at the University of Bolton and Liverpool John Moores University. His first collection, Nothing Fell Today But Rain (2003), was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award for Poetry. His second collection, Paralogues, is forthcoming with Carcanet.

Raoul Schrott was born in Landek, Austria, and raised in Tunis. He is the author of three collections of poetry, Hotels (1995), Tropen (1998), and Weissbuch (2004), which received the Joseph-Breitbach-Prize. His translation of Homer's Iliad into German appeared in 2008.
