Karen Solie is the recipient of the 2010 Griffin Poetry Prize for her collection of poems,
Pigeon. Her first collection,
Short Haul Engine, received the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize and was shortlisted for the 2002 Griffin Poetry Prize, the ReLit and the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. Her second,
Modern and Normal, was shortlisted for the Trillium Book Award for Poetry.
