Barry Dempster's 2005 collection of poetry, THE BURNING ALPHABET, was nominated for the Governor General's Award and won the Canadian Authors Association Chalmers Award. In March 2009, he published a new collection, LOVE OUTLANDISH, and will publish another book of poetry, IVAN'S BIRCHES, in September of this year with Pedlar Press. He lives in Holland Landing, Ontario.
